If the things that mattered to you
No longer matter to you
Then there must be something wrong:
It doesn’t mean that you’re not strong

If the things that mattered to you
No longer matter to you
And you cannot find the love that you seek:
It doesn’t mean that you are weak

If the things that matter to you
No longer matter to you
On finding that laughter has lost its way:

    • Yes it is wonderful stuff and it is up there as one of my favourite pieces. It is particularly apt for me (currently) and I have read it a couple of times…… I just LOVE it.

  1. Dear Jackie, I am completely blown away by your lovely comment. I shivered when you said that it was ‘superb’ and it resonated with you enough to place it on your pin board at work. What an amazing compliment?! I’m so happy that my poem has been of help to you, and maybe one day you will share ‘the story’ with me.
I feel as if it was meant for you – a spiritual message that you needed and I was able to provide. I’m so surprised that so many people liked it – at the time I felt it was rather simplistic, and it was to some extent, me trying to chivvy myself along. Little did I know it would have such an impact on others – thank you so much for letting me know how much it affected you – that means so much to me.
